Deadline for ECO Scholarship Applications
Friday, March 19, 2007

Since 1998 ECO has offered the annual $1,000 Dennis Honnold Environmental Scholarship to students who are going on to study in an environmental career.  Applications are being accepted from graduating Henderson and Transylvania County high school seniors and from persons enrolled in a college in those counties who are pursuing a degree in an environmental subject. Application forms are available through guidance counselors at Henderson and Transylvania County high schools and at Blue Ridge Community College and Brevard College.

We believe that providing this support for young people will both encourage interest in environmental studies and will help train professional scientists and naturalists for the future.  The Dennis Honnold Environmental Scholarship is supported by a grant from the New York Times Foundation, by donations from Steven Honnold and Tom Fazio, and other contributors.  Donations to the fund are tax-deductible. If you would like to send a contribution, please send it to the Dennis Honnold Environmental Scholarship Fund, 121 Third Avenue West, Suite 4, Hendersonville, NC 28792.
