BACKYARD WILDLIFE HABITAT

Next Event - Home Garden Tour June 2, 2007

The 10th Annual Henderson County Home Garden Tour – a self-guided driving tour of five gardens – is scheduled for Saturday, June 2, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  This unique tour focuses on private gardens that are certified backyard wildlife habitats and includes a variety of outstanding garden designs.

ECO encourages homeowners, schools, neighborhoods, and businesses to develop their yards into wildlife-friendly habitats using criteria from the National Wildlife Federation. To learn more about the ecological, aesthetic, and wildlife-friendly advantages of such garden design, e-mail ECO. If you would like your garden considered for the next Home Garden Tour, or if you would like to suggest a garden, phone the ECO office.
