Welcome to ECO!
Whitewater Event in September
Sunday, September 12

Green River Adventures in Saluda is again partnering with ECO on a “Whitewater Day” event on Saturday, September 12th, with all proceeds going toward support of ECO’s mission-related programming.
Three trips are available. The “Upper Green River Rush” trip at 8:30 am (for ages 12 and older) takes paddlers down continuous rapids and waterfalls through the Green River Gorge — guaranteed to make hearts pound while paddlers take in some of the prettiest scenery in the Blue Ridge Mountains! Two “Family Friendly” trips, at 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm on the Lower Green, make an excellent choice for families and youngsters, offering a slower yet exciting paddle downriver.
The Upper Green River Rush (approximately 2.5 hours) launches at 8:30 am for $65 per person. Two Family Friendly trips (approximately 3 hours) are offered at 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm for $45 per adult and $35 for each child under 12 years (accompanied by adult). Tickets include lunch & local music.
Purchase tickets NOW online or at ECO’s office (weekdays, 9-5) or at Green River Adventures (828-749-2800 or www.greenriveradventures.com).
This event helps support ECO’s ongoing work to protect the rich natural heritage of Henderson County and the mountain region.
