Join ECO’s Third Annual Green Homes Tour
Saturday, August 21, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Join us for this self-guided tour and see what residents in our mountain community are doing to their homes and businesses to become better stewards of the environment. At the same time, learn what steps you can take towards having a "smarter" home.

Our committees
Water Quality
ECO’s Water Quality Committee strives to protect Henderson County’s six pristine watersheds through monitoring and testing over thirty streams.

Energy
Focus on energy policy issues and practical applications of green building and energy conservation practices as an intern with ECO’s Energy Committee.

Green Infrastructure
Advocacy for policies that protect open space, watersheds, sensitive habitats and balance growth with protection of nature.

Recycling
The committee promotes city, county and regional recycling including curb-side pick-up, and advocacy towards improved recycling programs.
